Green360 targets 30,000 mt/year Eco-Clay output

Company signs two-year tolling pact with Calix

Commercial sales of low-carbon cement begin H1 2026

Green360 Technologies plans to produce as much as 30,000 metric tons/year of low-carbon cement replacement product Eco-Clay by the end of the first half of 2026, Australia's only hydrous kaolin producer said in a statement March 23, with commercial sales slated to begin in the same period too.

Green360 also said it had signed a tolling agreement with Calix for a two-year term with an option to extend for another two years.

Under the agreement, Green360 will produce Eco-Clay using the vertical flash calciner located at Calix's Bacchus Marsh plant in Victoria, Australia.

According to Green360, Eco-Clay is a high-reactivity metakaolin that is a partial replacement for traditional Portland cement in concrete mixes, improving strength and durability, and reducing carbon emissions.

Subject to demand, Green360 intends to construct and operate a calciner at its Pittong operations to support future scale‑up plans.

Green360 said it is in talks with domestic concrete manufacturers, and expects to conclude the first commercial agreement to supply Eco-Clay into the Melbourne concrete market within H1 2026.

The commercial development comes after Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, reported that Green360 had successfully used kaolin from its Pittong mine in Victoria to develop a red mud-kaolin low-carbon cement.

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, assessed cement (ASTM type I) FOB Vietnam at $39/mt and cement clinker FOB Vietnam at $36/mt on March 19, both down $0.50/mt week over week.
