Research and Analysis Associate Director, Light Vehicle Sales Forecasting, S&P Global Mobility
Peter Nagle oversees the global light vehicle contingency and North American owner-type forecasts at S&P Global Mobility.
Peter has over a decade of experience in automotive research. He was promoted to Associate Director for North American Sales Forecasting at S&P Global in 2024. Peter manages several subscription service products and oversees a dedicated team of North American analysts. However, his primary responsibility is the United States and Canadian electrification forecast delivered through the Sales-based Powertrain service. He also produces the U.S. sales channel outlook that separates the light vehicle market into retail and various fleet components. Additionally, he maintains responsibility for the global alternative scenarios service that tests forecast assumptions against different macroeconomic environments. He has developed custom forecast products for use in establishing fuel economy standards, trade negotiations and competitive pricing. Peter has leveraged his knowledge of the automotive landscape and the best forecasting practices to help drive product integration across the S&P Global platform of products.
Prior to joining S&P Global, Peter worked as an analyst at Mazda North American Operations focusing on future product planning and dealership fulfillment. Peter holds an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Michigan as well as a master’s degree in international economics from the University of California, San Diego.
