Platts proposes frequency change for global bisphenol-A, ethanolamines, nylons and polycarbonate spot assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing to change the frequency of the bisphenol-A, ethanolamines, nylons and polycarbonate spot assessments in Asia, the US, and Europe to weekly, effective Feb. 3, 2026.

Platts is proposing the changes to better reflect the market dynamics and typical trading behaviors involving the respective products and in response to market feedback .

Under the proposal, the bisphenol-A and ethanolamines prices would be databased on Tuesday and the nylons and polycarbonate prices would be databased on Wednesday.

Bisphenol-A and ethanolamines prices and commentary would be published in Solventswire, while the nylons and polycarbonate prices and commentary will be published in Polymerscan.

As part of this proposal, Platts would discontinue related weekly averages, effective Feb. 3, 2026.

Additionally, Platts is proposing to align the frequency of assessments for nylon feedstocks globally.

Under this proposal, European caprolactam spot assessments and Asian and European adipic acid and cyclohexane spot assessments would be published weekly, on Wednesday, to align with the frequency of publication in the US.

Under the proposal, European caprolactam spot assessments and Asian and European adipic acid and cyclohexane spot assessments and market commentary would continue to appear in Polymerscan.
