Joel Walker, executive director, is the global lead for business development in the energy and commodities sector for pricing, valuations & reference data at S&P Global Market Intelligence.He brings over twenty years of financial services experience across the front, middle and back office with a focus on valuations. Joining S&P Global in 2008, Joel played a key role in building out the Totem Commodities product and became product manager in 2016. He now focuses on business development across a suite of products for the energy and commodities sector and is the key point of contact across asset classes for some sell side banks. Previously Joel has held roles including Natural Gas Analyst, Proprietary Trader, Head of EMEA Power & Gas and Base Metals trade support and OTC Commodities Operations at firms including JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, TRX Futures and Enron.
Joel holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Sheffield and the Financial Risk Manager award from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
