Laurence Allan, Ph.D.
Head of the Europe/North America Insights and Analysis
Dr. Laurence Allan joined IHS Markit, now S&P Global, in April 2011 and currently leads the Regional Insights and Analysis teams for North America and Europe. He previously led the Latin America country risk team. He has supported a wide cross-sectoral range of corporate clients on operational risk in those regions. He works across the global risk and economics team on geopolitical trends and scenarios, and on supporting commercial and skills development.
Dr. Allan was previously a Research Analyst at the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office,and lectured on the politics of Latin America and the Caribbean at the University of London and other advanced learning bodies. He holds a PhD in Latin American politics, and speaks English and Spanish.
