Sally Holton

Head of Business Operations, S&P Global Commodity Insights

Sally's career with S&P Global Platts began in 2012 when she joined to create the Business Controls & Quality team, in partnership with Editorial, to help them ensure they were meeting the highest standards of quality, controls and operational excellence within price reporting processes. 

Sally has been a key part of Platts approach to IOSCO compliance and European Benchmark Regulation. In 2017 Sally’s role expanded to oversee Content Operations.  When Platts merged with Resources in 2022, to create Commodity Insights, Sally was appointed to head the newly created Business Operations shared capability.  This team provides operational leadership and services across the division, with capabilities including Risk Management and Governance, Business Line Learning & Development, Business Process Transformation and Operations.

Sally joined Platts from an Operational Risk role at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Prior to that she held positions at HSBC and Credit Suisse, based in London and Singapore, in operational risk, strategic change and operations management. Sally is certified as a Lean & Six Sigma Black Belt.  As an undergraduate, Sally studied Social Psychology at the University of Sussex.
