Viet Nguyen

Viet Nguyen is a technical research associate director from the Asia Pacific Upstream Intelligence team. 

Viet responsible for upstream activity updates and field research for Mongolia. Additionally, he contributes to the delivery of GEPS upstream content for other countries across Far East and Australasia.

Viet holds a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Geoscience from PETRONAS University of Technology (UTP), Malaysia. With 10 years of experience in oil and gas industry, he specializes in borehole imaging and geosteering technology. Prior to joining S&P Global in early 2024, Viet held the position of regional manager for geosteering services (Asia Pacific) in Baker Hughes Company, overseeing sales and operations across the region.
