Ford Tanner is an Associate Director with the E&P Terms and Above-Ground Risk team at S&P Global Commodity Insights.

For more than a decade, Ford has advised numerous clients on above-ground risk and exploration and production business environment scenarios, focusing on Latin America. He is responsible for maintaining country and subnational hydrocarbon sector risk forecasts for long-term upstream investments across producing and frontier countries. Ford has designed, managed, and presented a range of bespoke consulting projects assessing political and economic risk, operational risk, national oil company strategies, petroleum fiscal systems, regulation, and asset opportunities. His commentary has been featured in various publications, including Bloomberg, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Platts.

Ford holds a Bachelor of Arts with distinction from Wake Forest University, United States, and a Master of Arts from Georgetown University, United States.
