Principal Analyst, Mine Economics & Emissions
Cess is a Principal Analyst of the Mine Economics and Emissions team of S&P Global Energy. Her team focuses on cash-flow and cost analysis of mine models in various commodities, as well as emissions estimations.
Prior to joining S&P, Cess worked as a mining engineer in the Philippines where she gained field experience in nickel and gold mining operations. She eventually focused on further studies and research in the fields of geometallurgy and tailings. Right before moving to S&P, she worked in the University of Queensland under the SMI-MIWATCH group. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of the Philippines, and a Masters in Georesources Engineering from the University of Liège, University of Lorraine, and Luleå University of Technology.
