George Laguros

George Laguros is the GEPS editor at S&P Global Commodity Insights and is responsible for reporting on the upstream activity in the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico and Alaska.

George Laguros joined S&P Global in 2019 and is the GEPS editor responsible for reporting on upstream activity in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico and Alaska. He was previously with Marathon Oil Company for 31 years, where he worked as a geophysicist on a variety of exploration and production projects in East Africa, the UK North Sea, Western Siberia, the US Mid-Continent, and the US Gulf of Mexico. George is a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.

George received a Bachelor of Science in geophysics from the University of Oklahoma, United States, and a Master of Arts in geological sciences from the University of Texas at Austin, United States.
