Jerry Jarvis

Jerry Jarvis is a global upstream advisor with the S&P Global Commodity Insights upstream research division and is based in London.

Jerry joined IHS Markit in 2021 and works on global exploration, supply, and upstream trends. Prior to joining S&P Global, Jerry was at Tullow Oil, where he held numerous roles, including exploration manager for new ventures. He was heavily involved in the development of the company's extensive exploration portfolio and success in opening frontier basins across Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America. Prior to Tullow, he held technical and management roles with Sipetrol, Enterprise Oil, Fletcher Challenge Energy, and Sun Oil. Dr. Jarvis joined the oil industry in 1985 as a geoscientist.

Jerry got educated in the United Kingdom, he holds a Bachelor of Science from Dundee University and a PhD from Imperial College.
