Niall Hall is a Senior Technical Research Analyst within the Petrodata team at S&P Global Commodity Insights, based in the UK.
Niall is a member of the Petrodata Field Development team and has a regional focus on Africa. He is responsible for researching, analysing and reporting on the full lifecycle of oil and gas projects and renewable developments for the online market intelligence tools FieldsBase, ConstructionVesselBase and FPSBase. Niall contributes to the Offshore Field Development Monthly and FPS Quarterly publications, alongside daily news coverage.
He holds both a BSc in Petroleum Geology and an MSc in Oil and Gas Management from the University of Aberdeen. Prior to joining IHS Markit in 2019, Niall worked for Halliburton as a Senior Logging Geologist on offshore drilling operations in the North Sea.
