Eklavya Gupte

Eklavya Gupte is an energy journalist and editor who serves as Editorial Lead for Gas, Power and Energy Transition News at S&P Global Energy Platts. He hosts Energy Evolution, a flagship S&P Global podcast exploring the forces reshaping global gas, power and renewable markets.

Eklavya has almost 20 years' experience reporting on global energy markets, previously covering oil and gas. He has attended and reported on OPEC meetings and other major news events, including COP28, COP29 and COP30. He is also a regular guest on global news channels.

He holds two design patents for energy-focused editorial tools that rely on interactive data visualization: the Platts Periodic Table of Oil and the Energy Security Sentinel.

Eklavya has a bachelor's degree in mass media from the University of Mumbai, India, and a master's degree in journalism from Goldsmiths, University of London, England.
