Gordon Greer

Senior economist, US economics

Gordon Greer is a senior economist on the US macroeconomics team with a focus on the state and local sector and alternative scenarios.

Gordon manages the state and local variables and aligns current expected credit losses alternative scenarios to 10-year forecasts in the full US macro model. Other roles include regularly producing reports on data releases, maintaining databanking for the US macro model, and offering publication support.

Gordon joined S&P Global through IHS Markit, where he started in 2014. Prior to joining full time, he interned for the US macro group for two summers, modeling forecasts of the full basket of personal consumption expenditures at a monthly frequency in addition to supporting senior staff.

Gordon holds a Bachelor of the Liberal Arts with majors in the history of math and science and philosophy and minors in comparative literature and classics from St. John's College, Annapolis, United States.
