Flavio Gomes Dias is a principal analyst and researcher at S&P Global Mobility, focusing on automotive technology markets and companies.

Flavio has been working with automotive technologies for many years, with a focus on areas like Infotainment, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), xEV, HMI (Human-Machine Interface), embedded software, and vehicle-related apps and services. He also follows developments in powertrain, interior/exterior systems, and other electrical components.

Before joining S&P Global, Flavio had the opportunity to work with several car manufacturers—including PSA, GM, Volkswagen, and Mercedes—where he took part in and helped lead R&D projects, particularly in Powertrain technologies.

He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, which included time studying in Germany at Technische Universität Dresden. He also completed a master’s in systems engineering from the University of São Paulo and an Executive MBA at IESE Business School, where he broadened his perspective on leadership and strategy in a global context.
