Giovanni Giansiracusa

Giovanni Giansiracusa is a senior research analyst with the Climate and Sustainability group at S&P Global Commodity Insights and currently focuses on European power sector modeling.

Prior to joining S&P Global, Giovanni was a strategy and energy market analyst with Terna, the Italian transmission system operator (TSO) of electricity, where he carried out power and ancillary services markets modeling. Before joining Terna, he assisted the Waterford Energy Bureau in the energy management of the Waterford City and County Council. He also has experience with research on concentrating solar power technology, which he carried out during his six-month visit at Plataforma Solar de Almeria.

Giovanni holds a Bachelor of Science in energy engineering and a Master of Science in energy and nuclear engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. He is fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish.
