Logan is responsible for the US Fertilizer Report, a weekly report covering several domestic products and markets, and assists with US coverage in other reports and outlets including a monthly column hosted by DTN/Progressive Farmer. His expertise relates to various bulk crop nutrients including urea, nitrates, phosphates and potash, as well as the movement of supplies through major trading and transit hubs including the imports at the US Gulf Coast and Missippi River barging.
In addition to analyzing trade data between the world's major fertilizer production and consumption markets, Logan also tracks developments in select crop futures, forecasts and growing conditions in major grain producing countries, trade policy and other aspects which affect agricultural trade flows and price trends in the US.
He joined the company in 2019 having previously worked as a freelance reporter and in several communications support roles. He studied journalism at the University of Wisconsin where he completed an undergraduate degree.
