Hugo Cruz is a Principal Analyst at S&P Global Mobility, where he works within the Battery team. His research focuses on the electrification strategies of automotive manufacturers, battery technology trends, and global supply chains for battery components and critical minerals.

With more than a decade of experience across the automotive, energy, and electronics sectors, Hugo has held roles spanning engineering, R&D, entrepreneurship, and public policy. He holds an MSc in Sustainable Energy from Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands) and a BSc in Electronics Engineering from UNAM (Mexico), along with professional certifications in finance, data analysis, and project management (PMP).
