Chad Barnes is an Associate Director for upstream asset valuation in the Middle East & Indian subcontinent region at S&P Global Commodity Insights.
Chad leads a team responsible for valuation analysis and economic modelling of upstream oil and gas assets across the Middle East and Indian subcontinent region. He focuses on a variety of areas including asset valuation, cost modelling, fiscal changes, opportunity screening and production forecasting at an asset, country or regional level. He also provides insights and commentary through research pieces.
Chad is based in the UK. Prior to joining the company in 2019, he worked as an Upstream Analyst for an international energy trade association, as well as a Petroleum Geologist for a UK-focused exploration and production company.
Chad holds an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Aberdeen and a BSc in Geological Sciences from the University of Leeds.
