Sylvain joined S&P Global Ratings in September 2018 as Chief EMEA Economist, based in Frankfurt.
Before that, Sylvain was Head of Economics at the French investment bank Natixis and a member of the General Management of its German Branch. Sylvain has been a member of the “ECB shadow Council”, a panel of leading European economists formed by German economic daily Handelsblatt since November 2012, and is a member of different public sector advisory groups. Sylvain holds doctorate degrees in Economics from the Universities of Frankfurt and of Lyon as well as a certification from the International Capital Market Association (ICMA). He teaches at the Paris Dauphine University for the Master in Banking & Finance.

He covers Latin American politics as well as the region's security and business environment assessing risks such as expropriation, non-payment, contract frustration, civil unrest, business disruption, extortion, kidnapping, crime and terrorism.
Carlos, Director of Latin America Country Risk Analysis and Forecasting, is responsible for the generation of commercially relevant political and violent risks forecasts for a variety of sectors in Latin America, including energy, manufacturing, mining and insurance. He manages a team of Latin American experts, as well as a remote network of contributors based in the region, covering risks such as expropriation, non-payment, contract frustration, civil unrest, business disruption and security-related risks (extortion, kidnapping, crime and terrorism). Carlos has also worked and delivered numerous consulting projects for a variety of clients interested in understanding the role of stakeholders and risks at the project level in Latin America. His areas of expertise include petroleum policy and economics, public governance in natural resource rich countries, international relations, criminal dynamics in Latin America and political economy.
He holds a BA in International Studies from Universidad Central de Venezuela (Magna Cum-Laude), an MA in International Political Economy from Birmingham University (distinction) and an LLM in Petroleum Law and Policy (distinction) from Dundee University.

Bjoern Huetter is Product Director for International Market Reporting solutions at S&P Global Mobility.
Bjoern has 15+ years of automotive industry experience. Since 2009, he has held positions with S&P Global in forecast analyst, sales and product areas.
Since 2019 Bjoern has product ownership of the International Market Reporting portfolio, including global responsibility for revenue, go-to-market, pricing and product strategy.
Bjoern has a Bachelor Degree in Marketing and a Master of Science in International Business from Leicester Business School.

Matthias Raab is a Managing Director and Analytical Manager in the Corporate Ratings Group of S&P Global, based in Frankfurt
In this role, he manages the EMEA Automotive, A&D, Capital Goods and Investment Holding Companies team, which currently comprises 20 analysts. In addition, he is a senior representative for the Corporate Ratings Group in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Matthias joined Standard & Poor's in 2005 and thereafter took on analytical responsibilities for a large portfolio of European Telecommunications and Technology credits. He headed up the EMEA Telecom & Technology team as Analytical Manager from 2015 to 2018.
Previously, Matthias worked in the financial monitoring team of the life insurance company Allianz Lebensversicherungs-AG. Prior to his studies, he worked for Siemens AG in Erlangen, where he did a two-year traineeship in business administration, and thereafter joined the accounting and controlling department.
Matthias holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree from the Catholic University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Nishit works as Sector Lead for North American Autos & Business/Technology Services in the Corporate Ratings team at S&P Global Ratings Services, based in New York.
Nishit covers the U.S.- based auto manufacturers and provides portfolio coverage and commentary on rating issues and trends in Autos and Business & Technology Services within North America. The role also involves developing market engagement plans and working with cross-sector analysts and practices on analytical issues to author thought leadership on relevant sector and credit themes.

Coralie Laurencin is a senior director with the Gas, Power, and Energy Futures team at S&P Global Energy.
Coralie specializes in regulation and strategy in European power markets and renewable energy investments. Her work centers on how policy is shaping the energy transition. In particular, she focuses on the European carbon price, the emissions trading scheme (ETS), renewable support frameworks and PPAs, and developing capacity markets.
Before joining S&P Global, Coralie developed onshore wind and biomass projects in the United Kingdom with EFRG. Prior to that, she led the regulatory analysis efforts of boutique investment bank Climate Change Capital, focusing on the ETS in London, and was a part of EDF's commodity market analysis team in Paris. She holds a Master in Management from HEC Paris, France.

Catherine Robinson, executive director on the Gas, Power, and Energy Futures team at S&P Global Energy, leads gas and power research in Europe and global analysis on low-carbon gases.
Catherine has worked on numerous tailored consulting assignments for international oil companies, European utilities, and financial institutions, providing strategic advice and recommendations at the board and senior executive level. She specializes in market fundamentals, hedging, and risk management. Catherine is the author of numerous reports, which include analyses of the evolution of the European gas and power market and the implications for the strategy of market players; Europe's energy transition; and short- and long-term energy market fundamentals, among other research topics. She was the research lead for a number of Multiclient Studies looking at the long-term future of the European energy systems, including 'Strategies for a Lean Europe: Meeting the Energy Efficiency Challenge,' 'Beyond the flame: The transformation of Europe's heat sector,' and 'Steady at 50: Balancing Europe's power grid,' a study of European ancillary service markets. Chris Rogers manages the Supply Chain Research team within S&P Global Market Intelligence.
Chris's team produces data-driven supply chain research based on S&P Global Market Intelligence's Supply Chain Console platform. The team's reports cover corporate supply chain decision-making, the implications of government policy and the interface between physical and financial supply chain risks. The research product leverages S&P Global Market Intelligence's data and analytics across the supply chain, international trade, economics, risk management and financial products groups.
Chris is also responsible for coordinating supply chain coverage across S&P Global's various insight groups and represents the firm in presentations, demos, trainings and webinars with customers and other external stakeholders. Before joining S&P Global, Chris was a supply chain analyst for 10 years and an energy analyst for 15 years at a range of information services, financial and logistics firms.
Chris has a BSc in Development Economics & Operational Research from the University of Lancaster.

Valtteri Vaisanen is a consultant at S&P Global Mobility with a functional focus on sustainability.
Valtteri works as a consultant S&P Global and is based in Frankfurt, Germany. His functional exposure is centered around sustainability, and high-performance and luxury segments. Within these areas, Valtteri has tackled a broad set of questions, from analyzing market dynamics and regulatory forces to industry decarbonization and scenario analysis.

Paul is an Executive Director with the Energy and Climate Scenarios team at S&P Global Energy. His work covers energy and carbon markets, long-term decarbonisation trends, climate policy, and strategic responses to climate change and the energy transition. He is highly experienced in both development of energy and climate scenarios, as well as their application in assessing climate-related risk and opportunity for organisations across the oil & gas, power, industry and financial sectors. Prior to S&P Global Energy, Paul led the climate transition risk team for a leading global sustainability consultancy. He also has many years' experience working in research roles across the energy industry.
Paul holds an MSc in Global Environmental Change and International Policy from Imperial College, London.

Ali Adim is the manager of Battery Technology Research at S&P Global Mobility.
Ali leads the battery research team at S&P Global Mobility. Under his leadership, the team provides comprehensive market intelligence services related to automotive batteries through syndicated reports and forecasts. Prior to his current role, he was responsible for developing and maintaining the battery raw material forecast, a highly granular dataset that tracks materials from mining through to vehicle production.
Before joining S&P Global, Ali was in charge of the design and release of battery cooling systems at Maserati. He also worked at the e-mobility startup Italianvolt, where he was responsible for battery design and development. Ali holds a master’s degree in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and is an alumnus of the Unitech management program.

He also served as a technology leader to manage cross-functional initiatives on vehicle portfolio optimization, cost-benefit technology selection and product planning to set fuel economy and energy management targets to meet regulation targets.
Vijay is also well known within the auto industry for his contribution to news articles, whitepapers, press, conferences, panels, and speaking engagements around GHG/CO2 regulation for China, Europe, and US market.
He is a subject matter expert for the S&P Global Mobility Automotive team on the topic of NetZero / Sustainability / Climate Change and resilience / Smart and sustainable cities / GHG/ Sustainability / Policy and regulation/ CO2 Compliance/ Cost Forecasting /Powertrain and Electrification /Energy Management.
Vijay earned a Master of Engineering degree in 2004 and served in numerous roles with major manufacturers like Caterpillar, Chrysler, Jaguar Land Rover, and Changan before joining S&P Global.

Ms. Federico has been following the U.S. power and gas utility sector for more than 30 years, with an emphasis on state regulatory policy.
She joined Regulatory Research Associates, or RRA, immediately upon her graduation from Drew University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, with a minor in Business. She was awarded an MBA in Financial Management from Pace University in 1992.
RRA was acquired by SNL Financial in 2005. Ms. Federico took over as RRA President in 2011. Following the acquisition of SNL by McGraw Hill Financial, now S&P Global, she became a Research Director in the Energy Research team of S&P Global Market Intelligence.
In her current role she spearheads the team's analysis of emerging trends in energy regulation and has primary responsibility for the team's coverage of six regulatory jurisdictions.

With over 15 years in the automotive industry, Christiane joined the company in 2016. Her current responsibilities include global production forecasts, OEM intelligence, capacity forecasting, sourcing strategies, and segmentation. Christiane leads a team of analysts located in Germany, Mainland China, India, South Africa, Brazil, and North America.
