Paul Bingham

Paul leads business advisory services product teams, advises on client engagements and report delivery, analyzes and forecasts freight transportation demand and infrastructure requirements, and drives business innovation. Paul primarily focuses on North American freight transportation markets, including the international trade of North America. Paul manages multimodal freight transportation market analysis and forecasting for public and private sector clients. Paul rejoined S&P Global Market Intelligence in 2019 after having worked at S&P Global Market Intelligence -predecessor firms Global Insight, Standard & Poor's Data Resources Incorporated (DRI), and Wharton Econometric Forecasting Associates (WEFA). He previously was Vice President for Freight and Logistics for the EDR Group unit of engineering firm EBP. Earlier he led the National Economics Practice of CDM Smith. He previously worked in the transportation consulting practices of Booz Allen Hamilton and ICF. Paul is an appointed member of the U.S. Federal Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness.He is former Chair of the U.S. National Academies of Sciences Transportation Research Board (TRB) Freight Systems Group and a member of the TRB Committee on Freight Transportation Economics and Regulation and the TRB Committee on Agriculture and Food Transportation. He is former Chair of the TRB Task Force on the Value of Transportation Infrastructure and former Chair of the Freight Transportation Data Committee. Paul served on the National Council of the Transportation Research Forum and is former member of the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of the Transportation Research Forum.

Aleksandra Maguire

Aleksandra is responsible for various freight transportation issues, market and supply chain analysis for transportation industry and modeling. She is responsible for management and development of the county-level and commodity-detailed forecast for the TRANSEARCH® database. Her experience includes conducting trade and market assessments for transportation carriers and public sector organizations, advising on business opportunities, growth strategies, multi-modal, intermodal and distribution improvements, and capital investments. She was responsible for uncovering the expected timing and nature of emerging technologies in the commercial vehicle market. Her other responsibilities include Supply Chain Risk analysis and scoring for 64 countries globally.Prior to joining S&P Global, Aleksandra was a research and teaching assistant at the Intermodal Freight Transportation Institute of the University of Memphis. Her studies focused on evaluating gate reservation strategies at an intermodal rail terminal, using the newly expanded BNSF rail terminal in Memphis as a case study. The research also includes micro-simulation modeling of the transportation network in the area surrounding Memphis and the effects of gate strategies on relieving road congestion and truck idling.Aleksandra holds a master's degree in civil engineering (transportation) from the University of Memphis, United States and a Bachelor of Science in Transportation Engineering from the University of Belgrade-Serbia. Aleksandra speaks English and Serbian.

John Anton

John has expertise in the ferrous metals industry, he is responsible for evaluating the outlook for steel. He also specializes in forecasting commodities and works closely with the Automotive, Construction, Energy and Economics teams at S&P Global Market Intelligence. Laura is responsible for the management and operations of the Pricing and Purchasing Research team. Laura has managed several projects on global cost analysis, including projects in Asia and South America, where the objective was to recommend the most cost-effective and efficient action in the procurement of key materials and services. She has spoken extensively on the topic of procurement pricing strategies and the global cost environment, including a presentation at the Institute of Supply Management titled, "Has China Lost Its Low-Cost Edge?" She has made presentations on the "Economic Risks to Consider Before Bidding Your Next Contract," and "Understanding and Estimating the Skilled Labor Shortage," at a conference of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering.Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the George Washington University, U.S., and a Master of Arts in Health and Labor Economics from Duke University, U.S. She also earned an MBA from Rutgers University, Beijing, China.

KC Chang

His expertise resides in the commodity sector, where he is responsible for the nonferrous and precious metals forecasts including platinum and palladium. His latest research focuses on supply chain risks and opportunities for minor metals such as cobalt, lithium and rare earth elements used in the growing electric vehicle industry. In the past, KC worked on several projects focused on global cost analysis for clients in the energy and mining sector. These projects helped clients estimate capital costs and develop cost-effective procurement solutions for key materials and services.
