Consumer delinquency in Brazil fell 1.1% month over month in April, according to data from Boa Vista SCPC.
However, the indicator increased by 0.2% when compared to the previous year. For the cumulative year, bad debt declined 0.5% compared to the same period in 2016.
Meanwhile, consumer credit recovery in the country, which is based on the exclusions of records informed by creditors, receded 0.7% in April from the previous month. Year over year, the indicator also fell 1.5%, bringing the decline for the overall year to 2.0%.
