Jeremy Anderson was appointed a nonexecutive director on the board of Prudential PLC, effective Jan. 1, 2020.


Penn Mutual Life Insurance Co. named Peter Owh managing partner at its Rochester, N.Y.-based agency Centra Financial Group.

Owh served as a managing director at Centra Financial Group.


Pacific Life Insurance Co. appointed Brian Woolfolk leader of its new institutional division, effective Jan. 1, 2020.

Woolfolk serves as senior vice president of sales and chief marketing officer in the retirement solutions division at Pacific Life.


Canopius AG named Andrew Tongue underwriter for trade and political risk, effective at the beginning of March 2020.

He will also act as a deputy to head of trade and political risk Crispin Hodges.

Tongue served as a senior underwriter for political risks and trade credit at Swiss Re AG.

Property and casualty

HSB Engineering Insurance Ltd. named Terry Dyson director of business development and distribution.

Dyson served as a regional distribution manager at Travelers Cos. Inc.


Coverys Managing Agency Ltd. appointed Jo Marshall general counsel.

Marshall joins the company from Canopius.

Coverys Managing Agency is the managing agent of Lloyd's Syndicate 1975, Syndicate 1991 and Syndicate 3330.


Beazley PLC named Georgina Peters-Venzano chief marketing officer, effective in March 2020.

She will head a team based in the U.K. and the U.S. and will lead the company's global marketing and communications strategy.

Peters-Venzano served as director for brand strategy, marketing and communications at CNA Hardy.


Prestige Assurance PLC appointed Sarberswar Sahoo managing director and Vadlamudi Raja executive director.

Sahoo and Raja replace Balla Swamy, whose tenure is ending.

Prestige Assurance is a Nigeria-based unit of New India Assurance Co. Ltd.


Anne Dowling was appointed to the board of AXIS Capital Holdings Ltd., effective Jan. 1, 2020.

Robert Friedman and Maurice Keane will also retire from the board, effective May 31, 2020.


Mansour Al Bosiliy resigned as an independent member from the board of Saudi Re for Cooperative Reinsurance Co., effective Dec. 31.
