Merlin Diamonds Ltd. has restarted operations at its Merlin diamond mine in Northern Territory, Australia, and first production of diamonds from the concentrate generated by the dense media separation plant is expected by mid-October, the company said Oct. 6.

The DMS plant has been successfully recommissioned, and crushing and screening of stockpiled oversize material from previous operations, located adjacent to the plant, has started.
