Virtuous Retail purchases retail portfolio from Tata Realty for 7B rupees

Virtuous Retail South Asia Pte. Ltd. bought a retail portfolio in India from Tata Realty and Infrastructure Ltd. for 7 billion rupees.

The Trilium portfolio comprises the 1 million-square-foot center in Amritsar and the 700,000-square-foot building in Nagpur.

Virtuous Retail will be investing additional capital and resources in rebranding the Trilium shopping malls.

The acquisitions add 1.7 million square feet of existing retail space to the company's portfolio, which comprises roughly 7 million square feet across six cities.

As of Dec. 10, US$1 was equivalent to 70.84 rupees.
