Gregory Guyett resigned as president and COO of Pasadena, Calif.-based East West Bancorp Inc. and unit East West Bank to pursue other interests.

Guyett will leave Aug. 24. He joined East West in 2016.

Chairman and CEO Dominic Ng will assume the additional title of president of the company and the bank, effective the same day.
