J.M. Smucker's Canadian unit to invest C$12M in Sherbrooke facility

Smucker Foods of Canada Corp., a unit of The J.M. Smucker Co., said Feb. 12 that it will invest C$12 million in its manufacturing facility in Sherbrooke, Canada.

The Sherbrooke facility produces Carnation evaporated milk and Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk products.

The investment, supported in part by funding from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Agri-Food, will be used to upgrade equipment in the facility.

Smucker Foods of Canada expects the investment to increase the plant's flexibility and the variety of products it makes there.
