Apple Inc.struck a deal to provide every Major League Baseball team with iPad Pro tabletsthis season, The Wall Street Journalreported March 29.
As part of a multiyear agreement, the coaching staff of theMLB teams will use the 12.9-inch tablets to check performance stats fromcurrent and past seasons, evaluate potential pitcher-hitter matchups, and lookat "spray charts" showing where a player is likely to hit a ball,among other things.
The iPad Pros that team managers and coaches will reportedlyuse will be fitted with rugged cases displaying the league's logo.
