Landsbankinn hf. appointed Lilja Björk Einarsdóttir CEO, effective March 15.

Einarsdóttir takes over after Steinþór Pálsson left the bank in late 2016 as the board expressed the need for new leadership. She directed the operation, management and recovery of the assets of the former LBI ehf. in London from 2008 to 2016.
