Aozora Bank invests in target fund for Chinese fintech firm

Japan-based Aozora Bank Ltd. will invest an undisclosed sum into China Fintech LP, a target fund for financial technology company Beijing Zhongguancun Kejin Technology Co. Ltd.

Japanese investment management company Mercuria Investment Co. Ltd. established China Fintech after the former raised its stake in Beijing Zhongguancun Kejin Technology, according to an Oct. 18 release.

The investment will allow Aozora Bank and Mercuria Investment to explore the potential of fintech in Asian countries.

Established in 2015, Beijing Zhongguancun Kejin Technology develops financial services for retail customers in China.
