Beacon Lighting Group Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second half ended June 28 was 3 Australian cents per share, an increase of 29.5% from 2 cents per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$6.9 million, an increase of 30.0% from A$5.3 million in the prior-year period.
Total revenue climbed 15.9% on an annual basis to A$90.3 million from A$78.0 million, and total operating expenses climbed 14.3% from the prior-year period to A$78.8 million from A$69.0 million.
Reported net income rose 54.3% year over year to A$7.8 million, or 4 cents per share, from A$5.1 million, or 2 cents per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 7 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 7 cents.
EPS rose 39.6% from 5 cents in the prior year.
Normalized net income was A$14.9 million, a rise of 39.7% from A$10.7 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose 18.5% from the prior-year period to A$183.1 million from A$154.5 million, and total operating expenses rose 15.8% year over year to A$158.3 million from A$136.6 million.
The company said reported net income increased 43.5% year over year to A$16.9 million, or 8 cents per share, in the full year, from A$11.8 million, or 5 cents per share.
