SeaLink Travel Group Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second half ended June 30 amounted to 5 Australian cents per share, an increase of 27.9% from 4 cents per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$4.3 million, a gain of 28.9% from A$3.3 million in the prior-year period.
Total revenue increased 5.5% on an annual basis to A$54.8 million from A$51.9 million, and total operating expenses climbed from the prior-year period to A$47.3 million from A$46.2 million.
Reported net income grew 21.2% on an annual basis to A$4.6 million, or 6 cents per share, from A$3.8 million, or 5 cents per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 11 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 13 cents.
EPS rose 25.0% from 9 cents in the prior year.
Normalized net income was A$8.5 million, an increase of 32.8% from A$6.4 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew 7.2% year over year to A$111.3 million from A$103.8 million, and total operating expenses increased 5.7% on an annual basis to A$96.6 million from A$91.4 million.
The company said reported net income grew 28.7% on an annual basis to A$9.3 million, or 12 cents per share, in the full year, from A$7.2 million, or 10 cents per share.
