Boston Biomedical Inc. appointed Edgar Braendle as executive vice president, head of research and development and chief medical officer.

Braendle previously served as president and CEO of ARUP Laboratories, a national clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory.

The company also appointed Dee Mahoney as senior vice president and chief commercial officer.

Mahoney was previously the co-founder and president of DMH BioPharm Advisors, a boutique management consultancy.

Boston Biomedical is owned by Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma Co. Ltd.
