The FCC has asked major wireless and wireline phonecompanies to provide call-blocking services to customers.

According to a July 22 official blog post, FCC Chairman TomWheeler said robocalls and telemarketing calls topped the list of consumer complaintswith the agency, and the consumers should have the required software to blocksuch calls. The companies have 30 days to come up with "actionablesolutions to address these issues."
