"The Punisher" is getting its own spinoff series onNetflix Inc.'s streamingservice.

The streaming giant green-lit a full first season of "Marvel'sThe Punisher," making it the sixth series ordered under Netflix's with 's Marvel Television, thecompany said April 29. The series will star Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, who firstappeared in the second season of Netflix original series "Marvel's Daredevil."

The partnership with Marvel Television also includes upcomingseries "Marvel's Luke Cage," "Marvel's Iron Fist," "Marvel'sThe Defenders," and "Marvel's Jessica Jones."

Marvel Television produced "Marvel's The Punisher"in partnership with ABC Studios.
