Insurance broker Aon PLC is creating one Asia-Pacific unit by combining its regional commercial risk solutions, health solutions and affinity businesses, Insurance Insider reported.

The company's CEO for Asian business, Sandeep Malik, will move to head the new Asia-Pacific entity.

The restructuring will see the New Zealand business head, Geoff Blampied, take on an additional responsibility of chairing the Asia-Pacific business. Blampied has been with Aon for more than 22 years, according to the report.
