Hawaiian Electric Co. Inc. named Scott Seu president and CEO of the utility, effective in the first quarter of 2020, according to a Dec. 10 filing.

Seu, currently senior vice president of the Hawaiian Electric Industries Inc. subsidiary, will succeed Alan Oshima, who has led the utility since 2014. Oshima will serve as a senior executive adviser until his retirement later in 2020.
