Ahold Delhaize repurchases 5.8 million shares

Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV repurchased 5,813,203 of its common shares between Jan. 30 and Feb. 24.

The shares were bought back at an average price of €20.18 per share, for total consideration of €117.3 million, the company said Feb. 28.

The repurchases are part of the €1 billion share buyback program announced by Ahold Delhaize on Dec. 7, 2016.

A total of 9,353,469 common shares have been repurchased to date, for total consideration of €187.3 million.
