Swedish pharmaceutical company Medivir AB named Uli Hacksell acting CEO.

Hacksell is succeeding Christine Lind as the company's CEO.

According to the company, Hacksell has been a director of Medivir since May 3. He was the CEO of San Diego-based Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc. from 2000 until 2015.

Medivir is focused on the discovery and development of cancer drugs.
