Bank of Tianjin makes management, board changes

Bank of Tianjin Co. Ltd. made changes to its management and board of directors.

Confirming a previous report, the bank said it appointed Sun Liguo as president and executive director. Sun will replace Wen Yuanhua, whose resignation took effect Dec. 21, according to a same-day statement.

Sun has been deputy secretary of the party committee of the bank since August.

Further, Yuan Fuhua resigned as an executive director and chairman of the bank. Zhang Furong, an executive director, will perform the duties of chairman until the election of a succeeding chairman.

The bank also named Jin Qingjun, a partner of King & Wood Mallesons, as an independent nonexecutive director. He will replace Liang Zhixiang, who resigned.

The appointments are subject to regulatory approval.
