Ida Goodreau, chair of the boards of FortisBC Energy Inc. and FortisBC Inc., has died after a brief illness, the company announced Dec. 11.

Goodreau served on the board of directors for FortisBC Energy Inc. and its predecessor for 15 years, and on the FortisBC Inc. board for nine years. She was chair of both boards for the last two years.

The companies are subsidiaries of Fortis Inc.
