A unit of Doha Bank Q.S.C. is in talks with local lenders about a potential deal for a part of its United Arab Emirates loan book, Reuters reported, citing "two banking sources."
Doha Bank's corporate finance team is working on downsizing the portfolio, one of the sources added.
The Qatari lender was among six banks named by the UAE central bank in a circular warning financial firms to apply enhanced due diligence for accounts tied with the banks.
