FirstEnergy to procure service for percentage of income payment plan customers

FirstEnergy Corp. utilities in Ohio are seeking proposals for procuring full requirements service for their percentage of income payment plan customers.

The successful bidder will serve all the percentage of income payment plan, or PIPP, customers in the PJM Interconnection market for the delivery period June 2020 through May 2021.

FirstEnergy Ohio utilities include Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co., Toledo Edison Co. and Ohio Edison Co.

CRA International Inc., which does business as Charles River Associates, will manage the auction process. An information session for prospective bidders is scheduled for Jan. 14.

PIPP supplier applications from prospective bidders are due Jan. 31. Bids from registered bidders are due Feb. 11.
