Vacasa completes Wyndham Vacation Rentals acquisition

Vacation rental company Vacasa LLC finalized the $162 million acquisition of Wyndham Vacation Rentals from Wyndham Destinations.

Wyndham Destinations received proceeds of $156 million in cash and $10 million in Vacasa equity.

Vacasa financed the acquisition through a combination of cash and equity and plans to complete integrating the target platform by fall 2020.

Vacasa signed a definitive purchase agreement with Wyndham Destinations in July.

In connection with the acquisition, Vacasa will absorb management contracts of 140 homeowners associations, or HOAs, under the Vacasa Community Association Management. Short-term rental-focused HOAs in Alabama, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, South Carolina and Utah will transition to Vacasa, bringing its HOAs under management to 156.
