E-Life Mall Q4 profit falls YOY

E-Life Mall Corp. said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter was 41 Taiwan cents per share, a decrease of 21.4% from 53 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$41.3 million, a decrease of 21.8% from NT$52.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 1.2% from 1.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 9.4% year over year to NT$3.31 billion from NT$3.66 billion, and total operating expenses fell 9.1% year over year to NT$3.25 billion from NT$3.58 billion.

Reported net income declined 20.9% year over year to NT$54.9 million, or 55 cents per share, from NT$69.4 million, or 69 cents per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled NT$3.72 per share, a gain of 14.0% from NT$3.27 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was NT$372.5 million, an increase of 13.7% from NT$327.6 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew year over year to NT$16.81 billion from NT$16.50 billion, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to NT$16.24 billion from NT$16.01 billion.

The company said reported net income rose 14.0% year over year to NT$494.3 million, or NT$4.94 per share, in the full year, from NT$433.4 million, or NT$4.32 per share.

As of March 1, US$1 was equivalent to NT$30.76.
