CMS Energy starts operations at 105-MW wind farm in Ohio

CMS Energy Corp. started commercial operations at the 105-MW portion of the Trishe Wind (Northwest Ohio Wind) power plant in Paulding County, Ohio.

The project's output is committed to seven General Motors Co. plants under a 15-year power purchase agreement that also includes renewable energy credits the power plant will generate, CMS Energy said in an Oct. 8 press release.

CMS Energy subsidiary CMS Enterprises Co. owns the just-completed portion of the facility, and Starwood Energy Group Global LLC owns a 150-MW portion under development, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data. CMS completed its acquisition of the first portion of the Trishe facility from Starwood in August.
