Synapse Financial, CEO sued over alleged gender discrimination

Three women filed a lawsuit against Synapse Financial Technologies Inc. and CEO Sankaet Pathak over alleged discrimination based on gender, pregnancy and age, Bloomberg News reported.

Pathak was verbally abusive and made graphic sexual comments to female staff, according to the suit. The employees who brought the suit, Asya Bradley, Taylor Sims and Mharie Fraser, have either resigned or were terminated in the last two years, according to Bloomberg.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the company said the "spurious allegations do not reflect our workplace or values and we will vigorously defend against them," adding that the company has a "zero tolerance policy for any form of discrimination."
