An international hyperscale cloud provider tapped Windstream Holdings Inc. to install 21 100G optical Waves that will support the cloud operator's plans to support and expand its U.S. network.

The unnamed cloud provider will leverage the newly deployed 100G routes to improve network resiliency and reduce latency by building an overlay network, the company said Oct. 10.
