NetJets Inc. agreed on an option to purchase up to 325 Cessna aircraft from Textron Inc. unit Textron Aviation Inc.

The option enables the Berkshire Hathaway Inc. luxury jet unit to buy up to 175 super-midsize Cessna Citation Longitude aircraft and up to 150 Cessna Citation Hemisphere aircraft, potentially boosting its Cessna fleet to more than 800 aircraft over the next 10 to 15 years.

Textron Aviation said NetJets has the option to take first deliveries of the Citation Longitude in the second half of 2019, with additional options over the following 10 to 15 years.

The Citation Hemisphere aircraft are powered by the Silvercrest engine, which is manufactured by French aerospace and defense group Safran SA.
