Canadian retailer Loblaw Cos. Ltd. expanded its PC Express grocery pickup service to three Toronto subway stations in a pilot project with the Toronto Transit Commission.
According to a May 15 release, the service allows commuters to preorder groceries online or through a mobile app and pick up their orders at select subway stations at a later time the same day.
Customers who place their orders by 11 a.m. may pick up their groceries between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Residents near High Park station may also place orders by 9 a.m. on weekends for pick up between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The orders come from nearby Real Canadian Superstore locations and are delivered in a temperature-controlled PC Express truck, the company said.
